Michael Bigney, Administrator and co-owner of Home Health & Hospice Care of Nursing Placement earned in 1983 a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Boston University, a program recognized by Bloomberg Business Week, Business Insider, and U.S. News & World Report.
Michael grew up watching his mother, Marcia Bigney and Maria Barros develop Nursing Placement into a thriving Home Health Care and Hospice Care agency and assumed ownership and Administrator responsibilities upon Marcia’s retirement.
Today, Home Health & Hospice Care of Nursing Placement, formerly Nursing Placement, provides quality care and services to nearly 1,000 clients throughout Rhode Island under Michael’s direction, vision, and business acumen.
Stephanie Ryan, MS, RN
Co-Owner & Director of Operations
Stephanie Ryan obtained her Nursing degree from Community College of Rhode Island, a Bachelor’s degree from Providence College, and a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Salve Regina University. Stephanie has more than 25 years of managerial and clinical experience in various health care settings.
Stephanie oversees all aspects of Nursing Placement’s managerial and clinical operations focusing her time and attention on the ongoing expansion of the company’s Continuum of Care with the goal of providing all home care services under one umbrella giving clients and their families the peace of mind to know that when their health care needs changes, their caregivers won’t.
